Embrace Change & Redefine Your Potential with Eva Wexler
So, Winter is in! You feel the transitions when you tune into nature. The year’s darkest day is behind, and the light grows stronger daily. The cues of the Winter solstice are for pausing and reflection.
As it occurs so close to the Gregorian New Year, re-birth is in the air, too. So you usually take a moment to pause and reflect. What to leave behind, and what’s worth taking with you in the next year? “Let bygones be bygones” and bringing more of who you are into 2023—such a power move.
You are filled with hope and excitement. There’s nothing like starting a new life! In that context, I am sharing the brilliance of someone I met recently, Eva Wexler. She may be of help to you or someone in your life.
Eva is as courageous as any human can be. A multi-trauma survivor, her purpose is to help you find your untouched beauty. I found it humbling and inspiring when women like her turn pain into supporting others. This is your life’s Ph.D. put into real-world action.
Better than my words is to know Eva as she shares her story in this month’s Stories by People. As she says, are you ready to go from dancing at the edge of possibility to redefining your potential? Check it out here.

What are your superpowers?
I help women to holistically stay sober by reconnecting them to their mind, body & soul. What they’re buying is empathy, compassion, and a human connection- someone who understands them and their pain on a prolific level. What I’m really selling is a transformation through faith and hope..
I would like to create a revolution around…
The way society approaches the recovery process. It doesn’t matter where you go- therapy, detox, rehab, even a doctor- they all tell you the same thing- go to AA. But with 107 million people worldwide struggling with substance abuse, not everyone is going to resonate with the same mainstream modality.
I also want to change the way substance abuse gets stigmatized with demoralizing labels like “addict” and “addiction.” It doesn’t help someone in recovery to feel empowered. It’s the opposite- it’s really disempowering and humiliating.
What inspires you…
Beautiful design- everything from stationary to clothing.
Exploring my creativity.
My mom’s dog- she kisses away my tears when I’m crying and she wakes up each day so excited to greet me. She truly lives in the moment and allows me to be myself.
My fav person in the world…
It’s actually my mom’s dog, haha.
I cherish…
the simple pleasures- that first sip of my morning tea, getting on my yoga mat, connecting with myself during meditation, going for walks and findingcrystals, thunder and lightning, the smell of used books, soup in campfire mugs, drinking hot chocolate while stargazing, music
I despise…
hypocrites, apathetic, and judgmental people.
Words to live by…
To be normal is the ideal aim for the unsuccessful.- Carl Jung
The world breaks everyone and afterward, some are strong in the broken places.- Ernest Hemingway
It is always by way of pain one arrives at pleasure.- Marquis De Sade
The outfit of your life is…
Jeans and a white button down shirt.
If I was a color, I would be…
A combination of pink and purple—I think that would be magenta.
If I was a celebrity I would be…
Gwyneth Paltrow.
If I was an animal I would be…
Dog.
If I was a scent I would be…
Lilac.
If I was a symbol I would be…
My sigil from a past life.
If I was a word I would be…
Ethereal.
Are you related to fire, water, air, or earth?
Fire is dominant in my chart.
If I was a song, I would be…
American Woman- The Guess Who
